Locally and Globally, Brecon Helps Fight Hunger This Holiday Season
With a mission to ethically source and supply the highest quality frozen foods, Brecon Foods has a longstanding commitment to ensuring food makes it on the tables of families across the globe. This holiday season, Brecon has partnered with two organizations to provide nutritious food to those at risk of hunger, both globally and locally.
At the global level, Brecon is proud to donate 50 food baskets through Plan International, a global organization dedicated to advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. Each basket is filled with essential, nutritious foods like beans, cooking oils, and fortified cereal blends. Especially in the midst of the pandemic, when many of these families are faced with the difficult choice between securing enough food and following COVID-19 protections, these gifts are helping at-risk families nourish their children.

Locally, Brecon is honored to support On Rock Community Services, an organization committed to making a difference in the Montreal area. As a resource for families in the community, On Rock provides services including a food bank, school lunch program, and community diner. Brecon supports On Rock throughout the year, with monthly food bank drop offs. This summer, Brecon employees, along with their friends and families, also participated in a “KM for Eats” competition, logging their walking, running, and biking activity and pledging funds for On Rock. Brecon matched those pledges, raising a total of $1,500. This holiday season, Brecon hosted weekly food collections benefiting On Rock, helping bring Christmas to our neighbors who need our support.
